The afternoon rains went away
But the puddles, they chose to stay.
So little kids could go out and play
And splash around for the rest of the day.

Last month I had the wonderful opportunity of photographing this little doll’s family, but last week she got the spotlight all to herself. I just adore those blue eyes in the sea of pink. Such a sweet and beautiful baby.

Atlanta Party Photographer: Celebrating the 1st Birthday
Remember the handsome little Kenzo from the birthday session a couple weeks back? Well, this weekend his family celebrated with his first party. His mom asked me to come and take the photos. I got a lot of great candid shots as well as some family and extended family portraits. They are such a great looking bunch aren’t they? Some even flew in from Japan so it was definitely a special day for the birthday boy.
This is a great idea because you want to be able to enjoy the party and the company and not have to be worried about taking pictures the whole time. But on the same note, you definitely want the preserve such a momentous occasion so hiring a photographer can take care of this for you. Please contact me for more details on party pics or a party and birthday portrait package.
By the way, I love this cake made by Kenzo’s mom! You think it’s a simple white cake, but once sliced, wow, there’s a rainbow inside! =)

B’ham, AL Child Photography: Tea with Princess BayLea
The following photos were taken just two days before the horrific tornado struck Pleasant Grove. From what I’ve been told, the beautiful trees that served as our enchanted forest background are no longer. Miss BayLea is the blue eyed beauty in the photos. She and her family were just a few houses away from complete destruction. Her mother has been working endlessly in the cleanup effort and I hope that these images will provide some sunshine for her and her family. They certainly deserve it. I’m very thankful you guys are safe!!!

Birmingham, AL Family Photography: Family of Four
First I’d like to wish all the mothers out there a wonderful mother’s day!
Speaking of moms, I had a wonderful time at Tannehill with this mom and her beautiful family. The two little sisters were just adorable. Eva was only 11 weeks old and her big sister Chloe is two. Hope you enjoy the photos!

Birmingham, AL Family Photography: Mr. & Mrs. H + Two
I had the pleasure of photographing another beautiful family at The Botanical Gardens last weekend. We got in several family shots as well as some individuals of the gorgeous Eden and a handsome little man named Brooks. Eden didn’t seem to mind playing model, but Brooks was all boy and found a greater interest in climbing trees=)

Birmingham, AL Family Photographer: Keeping Up with the Joneses
My homestate of Alabama was hit by a historically devastating tornado last Wednesday. The mom in the photos below and I grew up in one of the cities hit hardest, Pleasant Grove. I’ve been in total shock and have found myself completely consumed by the horrific stories, photos and videos. But I think we all need to see some happy images, so I’ve decided to go ahead and post a small preview from our recent session.
I enjoyed a recent Saturday morning at The Birmingham Botanical Gardens with little Miss E and her mom and dad. E was such a doll with her beautiful blonde curls and pretty green dress. Definitely a beautiful family to photograph. More photos from this session to be posted soon but for now please enjoy this sneak peak.
